4THE1 TURNS 5

“Let the little children come to Me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14

One of our mission partners, 4the1 in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village, celebrated its 5 th birthday 2 weeks ago.

A time of prayer, thanksgiving and testimonies was held on the Thursday evening at Mountain View Baptist Church, and the usual Friday afternoon children’s programme became a 5 year birthday party. A number of CCSW folk were present, most of whom are in some way involved in the ministry.

It was a wonderful afternoon under the trees on their new Myrtle Grove plot of land - over 100 children and 40 adults in attendance in an attitude of praise and good humour despite the windy weather. The children, in their various discipleship groups, gave short testimonies, sang, recited memory verses, and shared what 4the1 meant to them. Some of these kids had been attending 4the1 since it started. It was a time of rejoicing, witnessing God’s faithfulness and provision and growing of His kingdom – for example, the Myrtle Grove land; Katie Eto, a missionary from the US who has joined hands with Tracy; over 80 children who attend the weekly Tuesday and Friday afternoon programmes.

We thank God for Tracy Elliott and her team and their faithful ministry to the children (and families) of Sir Lowry’s Pass Village.

All glory to Him.

Maybe you feel moved to join the team or serve in some other way? Volunteers are needed for Tuesday and Friday afternoons – some read, some teach, some assist the leaders, there are Reading and Maths lessons on the Tuesday… in other words, there are many opportunities to get involved! Ask God if He might want to use you there, and then… go!
