BLOOM WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN
Last Saturday morning we hosted a Bible workshop for women in Mark chapter 4. Alison Eloff was our facilitator and teacher for the morning.
Alison and her husband, Mervyn are in ministry at St James Church, Kenilworth. Mervyn is the Rector there. Alison is a gifted bible teacher and trainer. She is not only involved in local church ministry, but also in training women to teach the Bible across Africa, through the work of the Simeon Trust.
More than 50 women attended the workshop and we spent our time exploring the early part of Mark’s gospel, landing in the parable of the sower. We also had time to connect with each other over refreshments and plenty of delicious tea-time goodies.
It was such a stimulating and challenging morning as we considered Jesus’s mission and his mandate to us … to just keep sowing!
