EASTER SPIT BRAAI AND COMMUNION SERVICE

On the Thursday evening before the Easter weekend, around 250 people from our church community gathered for a evening of fellowship, food and reflection.

We started with a delicious and plentiful lamb spit-braai meal.  There was no charge for the meal, reminding us of the Lamb of God who gave His life freely for us.  We feasted together, with new and renewed friendships and connections made. The meal was followed by a beautiful Communion Service.  The church became a quiet, contemplative space with Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” artwork filling the screen.  We read through the Easter narrative, sang beautiful Easter songs and enjoyed communion together.  One of the highlights, was finishing the evening in resounding praise, as we sang together “We will feast in the house of Zion”.

It was a special and memorable evening, which focussed our hearts and minds on the Lord Jesus and his church, as we headed into the Easter weekend.
