+CSW LIBRARY: A treasure trove of Christian books!

Our church library, upstairs from our hall, is a treasure trove of good and helpful Christian books. These include books for kids and teens, devotionals, thematic books such as on prayer, marriage, parenting, counselling, and more. You may enjoy Christian novels, or the encouragement from heroes of the Faith and Christian biographies. Come visit our library after our services on Sundays, and our librarian, Sheldeen Dawson, will be there to assist you.

To give you a taster of what’s available, here are just two examples of parenting books available in our library:

Bringing Up Girls, by Dr James Dobson

“Peer pressure. Eating disorders. Decisions about love, romance, and sex. Academic demands. Life goals and how to achieve them. These are just some of the challenges that many girls face today - and the age at which they encounter them is getting younger and younger. As a parent, how do you guide your daughter on her journey to womanhood?…” Dr James Dobson, a well-known Christian counsellor and parenting expert, handles this subject in his trademark down-to-earth approach, helping parents to face the challenges of raising daughters to become strong, healthy, and confident women in life.

Fatherhood - What it is and what it’s for, by Tony Payne

“In this very readable book, Tony Payne takes a fresh look at what the Bible says about dads. What does it really mean to be a father? What should fathers be trying to achieve? And how can they be doing a better job? Tony Payne answers these questions with insight, practical wisdom, and good humour. If you only ever read one book on fatherhood, make it this one.”
