CROSSWORD YOUTH CAMP
More than 500 teenagers from across the Western Cape joined together for CROSSWORD YOUTH CAMP this past week.
This initiative is run by a group of committed clergy and volunteers from various REACH churches across the region. In the past, CROSSWORD has been a single camp running in Villiersdorp. However, the camp has grown so significantly, that this year it was split into two venues. A junior camp in Villiersdorp (Grades 7-9) and a senior camp at a new venue in Tulbagh (Grades 10-12).
Despite splitting this year, both camps filled quickly. A group of around 20 teenagers from CCSW attended the camps, accompanied by a large group of leaders – who helped to lead groups, music etc.
Rev. Kyle Johnson was the speaker at the Junior Camp with Bishop Glenn Lyons speaking at the Senior Camp. There were also various workshops / electives on offer throughout the week on various topics related to living the Christian life as a teenager

Thank God for keeping the teens safe as they travelled to and from the camps.
Thank God for the committed group of clergy and volunteers who assisted in planning and running these camps. May they be encouraged and spurred on in their own faith as they served in this way.
Ask God to be at work in the hearts of the teens, by His Spirit, as they reflect on the Bible teaching they received.
Pray for relationships to grow and strengthen between our teens as a result of this special time away together.
