FAREWELL TO CAROL EBDEN
It is with both tremendous sadness and tremendous joy that we say goodbye to Carol Ebden this weekend. She is leaving Somerset West next week, to move to the Edgemead area, to be closer to her son and his family.
Carol and her husband Graham came to Somerset West 20 years ago. Graham was appointed as the Rector of Christ Church at the time. After a few years as Rector, Graham passed away very suddenly whilst on a mission trip in Zambia. Carol has remained at Christ Church Somerset West ever since, faithfully serving with grace and humility in many areas of church life. Carol has been a friend, sister in Christ, mentor, bible teacher and godly example to many of us.
We say goodbye to her with tremendous sadness. However, we wish her well in this new chapter of her life, knowing that God goes before her. She will be joining St John’s Church in Bothasig (also a REACH church) and their gain is our loss. Until we meet again, dear Carol!
