GOLDEN OLDIES - RUNNING THE RACE OF FAITH

The Golden Oldies met this past Tuesday at Kilberry Terrace (in Helderberg Village).  Errol de Kock spoke from Hebrews 12: 1-3 about finishing the race of faith.  He spoke about his experience of being a passionate runner, weaving it into the idea of finishing the race of life with our eyes fixed on the finish line.  He reminded the ladies that road-running is an endurance sport, not a sprint.  Just like our lives we need to stay on the course and not become distracted.

It was a really encouraging time with the idea of “keeping on keeping on!”.

There was also an entertaining quiz all about running in the Bible, which the ladies thoroughly enjoyed.  As usual, a wonderful spread of delicious tea-time treats served by the team of helpers.

Please keep the Golden Oldies in your prayers.  If you would like more info on this ministry, please contact Di Gilbert on 072 303 1478.
