JUNIOR YOUTH UPDATE
It has been a great term at Junior Youth!
We have been blessed to see the ministry grow to 18 grade 6 & 7s coming regularly each Friday (11-13 year olds). There is a strong core group, and a good mix of boys and girls.
We follow a set program, where we play games and enjoy some delicious snacks. But, most importantly we prioritse the teaching of God’s Word.This term Brian has been teaching the ‘I AM’ statements of Jesus from the book of John. We are hoping to do a Bible overview series next term, as we really want to help the kids get comfortable with reading their Bibles. A weekly highlight at Junior Youth is when the boys and girls split up into discussion groups. This time is especially enriching, as they can share their struggles and the questions they have about God.
Please pray for all the kids who attend Junior Youth - that they will have their hearts transformed by the Gospel, so they can stand firm with all the temptations they are facing, especially in the current climate that they are growing up in.
Junior Youth runs on Friday evenings at CCSW between 5-6.30pm. Please also include Brian and Lauren McMillan in your prayers as they lead this ministry together.
