NEW ROLE FOR HAKEEM SMITH

Earlier this year, Hakeem was offered a full-time secular job which combines his financial background and his love for running.

Given the stage of life that he and Franca are at (young child, baby on the way), they have made the decision for him to accept that job,  This means he will be stepping away from his salaried position as a member of staff at Christ Church.

Hakeem started his new job this week. He still intends to remain involved in CCSW.  He will oversee the music ministry with the administrative help of Sigrid Holscher and Carmen Rieth.  He also intends to continue co-leading the Young Adults Bible Study.  Both in his capacity as a volunteer.

He will no longer be involved in Senior Youth on Friday evenings  One of our church members, Stephen van Huysteen, who has been a youth leader for a number of years, will take over leadership of Senior Youth for the time being.

Sean and Kirsty will offer pastoral oversight of the leaders, and give other pastoral care as needed.

Hakeem and Franca will continue to be involved and serving in church life.  Please pray for them as they settle into this new season of church and family life.
