TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
During this Holy Week we have been thinking about unbelief, as to why people resist the “good news” of what God has done for us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. One reason is that grace is free! The gospel either appears too good to be true - how can a holy God freely accept a worm like me? Or, in the case of the sceptical and self-sufficient, they won’t accept anything for free, always feeling the need to pay or contribute in some way. After all, there is no such thing as a "free lunch” - which brings me to the spit braai this evening. Like grace, dinner is on us, it's free!
To receive the “good news” all you need is need, all you need is… nothing!. Are you hungry? Well then enjoy the meal and remember grace!
Yours in Christ,
Gavin
