CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY
On Friday the 9th of December we had a very special Christmas party with the children. It was extra special this year, because the children of Christ Church Waterkloof, one of our church plants, joined us!
We had an amazing time together. We went on a journey with Mary, Joseph and the shepherds. They were all ordinary people, but something extraordinary happened to them! All of them met an Angel and all of them received the extraordinary news that the Saviour would be born. This Saviour was an ordinary baby, with 10 fingers and 10 toes. But He was also extraordinary because He is the Son of God!
It was a great opportunity to share the Gospel with the children and to make them realise how extraordinary the good news is, but that this extraordinary news is for us ordinary people. Besides sharing the Gospel, we also played many fun Christmas games, worshipped the Lord together and learned a verse from the Bible.
In one of the games the children had to act out a scene of the Christmas story using ordinary items, this was great fun as you can see on the photos.
What a wonderful Christmas party it was!
